This GB wide scheme is set to run from 2022-2026 and will see an investment of £4 billion. The main aim of ECO4 is to facilitate the installation of energy efficiency and heating measures into low-income or fuel-poor homes across Great Britain; whilst contributing to the government’s wider strategic aims of eradicating fuel poverty, achieving net-zero commitments, and aligning their heat and buildings strategy.
ECO4 will be focused on upgrading low-income and vulnerable/fuel-poor households in band D, E, F & G owner-occupied homes and bands E, F & G in the social housing and private rented sector (extending to band D social housing in the case of innovation measures). This equates to an estimated target pool of approx. 3.5 million homes.
With the solid wall minimum target being set by the Government at 90,000 measures over the 4-year scheme, we are confident that in collaboration with the highly skilled contractors who are approved to install our systems, Wetherby are strongly placed to play a significant part in the delivery of this scheme.
