We are delighted to have achieved OHSAS 18001 certification, recognising our ongoing commitment to protecting the health and safety of our workforce.
An international standard, OHSAS 18001 sets out the requirements for occupational health and safety management best practice, ensuring operational risks and hazards are minimised and the best possible working conditions are created.
To achieve the accreditation we were required to demonstrate that we have a clear occupational health and safety policy that outlines robust measures to protect our workforce. Following a 12 month audit process, we were praised for our safe working conditions, reduced workplace accidents and hazard identification and control procedures.
Our accreditations have also been bolstered by new certifications for our environmental and quality management through ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, demonstrating our commitment to delivering an efficient and sustainable operation.
Commenting on the new accreditations, our Managing Director, Bob Deane said: “We are committed to protecting our workforce by reducing health and safety risks as far as possible. The team has worked hard to ensure we have a clear policy in place, with which all of our employees are engaged, so it is fantastic to be recognised for the best practice we are implementing every day.”
