Wetherby Stone Render (50mm - 90mm EPS)
An office block in Leyland known as Lancaster House has recently gone through a major refurbishment sporting Wetherby’s external wall insulation system.
The local landmark and commercial property was originally built in 1965-66 and was the former home former Leyland Trucks Headquarters, however was bought by the local Council in 1993 as part of its economic development.
Wetherby were tasked at updating the building with an attractive system to finish the façade, ready for new owners Gold Medal Travel Groups to take base as their new head office.
To keep the building thermally efficient, and address the carbon saving needs of the client, Wetherby Enhanced EPS Insulation was used in a range of thicknesses from 50-90mm to deliver the required u-values throughout the building.
The client desired a stone effect finish and Wetherby were able to offer the solution with Wetherby Stone Render in Cotswold Cream. The unique Wetherby Stone Render finish is based on coloured stone matched to popular stone samples along with a decorative aggregate mica (flaked mica has a high brightness with a glitter like appearance) to provide an exclusive and attractive finish.
Since the attractive refurbishment works were completed, the new site is set to safeguard/create 500 jobs, which will be a major boost for the South Ribble area.
