Wetherby became fully fledged Corporate Fellows of CoRE this week and are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership, supplying external wall insulation materials and sharing industry experience with potentially thousands of future External Wall Insulation operatives.
The Centre of Refurbishment Excellence, based in Stoke-on-Trent, is a purpose built complex featuring a national training facility and an exhibition space dedicated to the techniques and materials needed to refurbish our housing stock to the highest modern standards. It also contains a Knowledge hub and best practice resource for the UK’s rapidly expanding refurbishment market.
Education is at the heart of CoRE’s success as it’s training packages are structured to help create a highly skilled workforce, who are able to meet the challenging demands of today’s construction industry. They will not only offer apprenticeship schemes but also the chance to up-skill semi-skilled, or similar line of industry professionals, in the art of External Wall Insulation.

Wetherby’s Marketing Director, Anne-Marie Armstrong, said “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to share our years of industry expertise with the EWI applicators of tomorrow and to ensure they train using quality building materials, so that best practice methods come as second nature. CoRE’s vision and aspirations are so simple, yet their innovative approach is bound to bring overwhelming success. We sincerely wish them the very best of luck”.
