Cavity Rail Render Carrier Board Systems
Our Render Carrier Boards are primarily designed for application in timber frame and steel frame structures, offering versatility in installation. They are typically affixed directly to either timber battens or Wetherby cavity rails.
There are two A1 (non-combustible) options, in accordance with BS EN 13501-1, when
incorporating clay brick slips. Steel frame systems offer an A1 rating from substrate to
exterior brick finish, while timber frame systems offer an A1 rating from the fire-proof render
carrier board to the brick slip finish.
These systems are designed to provide architects and end clients with maximum adaptability, our render carrier board accommodates a wide array of Wetherby finishes, including our thin coat finishes, clay brick slips and acrylic brick slips, ensuring exceptional flexibility in design options.

Render Carrier Board Finish Options
The first finish option available for the RCB system is our popular Brick Slip, a real clay durable finish with heightened fire resistance when incorporated into the system. In addition, we have Acrylic Brick Slips which present a lightweight façade option that combines aesthetic appeal with easy installation, while our Silicone Render systems offer a flexible, anti-crack formulation.

Unlike other brick slip systems currently available, which often comprise of an acrylic brick finish, Wetherby brick slips are manufactured and fired in exactly the same way as traditional clay bricks.
The Wetherby Acrylic Brick Slips are crafted from superior quartz sand blended with acrylic resin, offering remarkable flexibility.
These slips are designed for quick installation, saving you time and money. With a thickness of just 4mm and a lightweight composition weighing only 4kg/m2, they present an appealing alternative to traditional clay brick slips or real brick.
The Wetherby silicone and acrylic render systems provide superb quality, ease of application and a superior colour range.
The flexible anti-crack formulation and ultra-violet resistant pigments of a silicone or acrylic render allow for large areas to be seamlessly rendered with perfect colour consistency.
