Committed to helping drive awareness and growth of the solid wall insulation (SWI) industry, Wetherby’s managing director, Bob Deane, has been appointed as part of a new SWI council orchestrated by the National Insulation Association (NIA).
At its first meeting this week, the council agreed that it would make the following actions priorities to support its members:
• Enhance industry quality and standards, while positioning NIA members as the preferred and trusted choice among specifiers and householders
• Positively influence policies, regulations and lobbying to maximise the uptake of SWI, including government and key stakeholders such as Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Procurement Operators and Private Landlords
• Create new business opportunities for NIA members
• Increase consumer awareness and demand for SWI
The new council has been set up to support the NIA’s drive to expand the SWI market and create opportunities for its members. Commenting on its formation, Neil Marshall, chief executive of the NIA, said: “I very much look forward to working with the new Council over the coming two years and driving forward our ambitious plans to grow the market, strengthen quality and standards across the industry and support our members in maximising business opportunities.”
