Pavestone Rally 2017 set to achieve record breaking donations!

Wetherby is delighted to have supported Milford Building Supplies for this year’s 2017 Pavestone Rally Challenge. Every pound raised throughout this event has been equally divided between two well deserving charities, Teenage Cancer Trust and The Rainy Day Trust.

The rules were simple, entrants were tasked to buy a road-legal car for under £500 (the cheaper the car, the more fun!), dress it up and hit Europe’s greatest roads and cities for 4 days to Monte Carlo. Throughout the Rally, the teams had a series of challenges to complete and all four days were spent in fancy dress.

Milford Building Supplies purchased a Citroen Picasso to take on this challenge which was decorated entirely of funny faces from all sponsoring companies including Wetherby Building Systems Ltd. All teams met at the white cliffs of Dover to head into Belgium via Ghent. They passed through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Italy and finally Monaco reaching their ultimate destination, the world-famous city of Monte Carlo.

This exhilarating journey has seen all teams travel through 10 countries across Europe in 4 days and whilst they will all agree this has been brilliant fun it’s ultimately all about raising as much funds as possible to aid the incredible work that goes into Teenage Cancer Trust and the Rainy Day Trust on a daily basis.

On that note, we can proudly say the 2017 Pavestone Rally has raised a massive £154,000; smashing last year’s total of £64,000. Huge congratulations to all teams, sponsors and supporters involved in the event!
